The Project

THE NEW DUDLEY GENEALOGIES is an effort to update, organize, and publish all the lines documented in THE HISTORY OF THE DUDLEY FAMILY. Additionally, NEW lines will be added. The project will come in TWO parts.

PART ONE will be the initial publishing of the lines---one at a time--in paperback form. I expect approximately 9 volumes in this. Each volume will be indexed, with a an introduction of the line. They will be straight register style format. I will expect all those who receive a copy to forward me any corrections and additions.

PART TWO will be the updating (from the paperbacks) of lines again. To that will be the addition of pictures and bios, and publishing in HARDBACK form. I expect 3 rather large volumes.

The state of the Project

THE CONCORD branch is done, and no corrections are not expected. With help, I was able to "get it right" the first time. It is currently out of print, but can be had THROUGH ME. See the BOOKS page to order or EMAIL me.

The GUILFORD branch is GOING THROUGH AN UPDATE, and is ALMOST DONE. It will be a SECOND EDITION with 30 corrections (sorry) and over 200 additions, revisions, and updates--and will add the Guilford branch of JOHN DUDLEY (formerly known as "the Pseudo Branch"). This SHOULD be done THIS SUMMER, and submitted before August--expect a December release.

Next up is THE HANDBOOK FOR DUDLEY'S. What that is planned to be is the information on this site, revised, updated, and with LOADS of additional information not found here. An example would be a COMPLETE listing of the LORDS OF DUDLEY with biographical information on ALL of them, and all the articles from this site EXPANDED. (What? You didn't think that what was here is all I had, did you?)

What comes next will depend on how fast additional information comes in. The VIRGINIA and KENTUCKY branches look good, but there are so many "Jr." lines in those two states that I need to do more research to see how they connect. They came from somewhere, and some are connected, but to and from whom?

After that comes the Gov. Thomas line. While in the database now, I have been able to locate THE LOST GOV. THOMAS DUDLEY ASSOCIATIONS PEDIGREE'S!!! As soon as I can get to their location, THEY will be added, then published. I expect two more years for that.

Wondering about what happened to the volume numbers? Well, I since the information ON HAND was easier than the research, I felt a bigger need to publish what I had first. I am doing scads of searching, and verifying, so out they go as I get them. Do NOT hesitate to query me...........there is always more on my desk than on my desktop!!!
