Trivia  (note: remember, these are generalities........there are exceptions.)

Did you know that one of the most distinguishing marks of the Dudley Family (in ALL lines) is a high forehead and/or a receding hair line? Yep, it's true! Notice the pictures of our ancestors and all the men have it! Most of us today do also! In addition, in almost all the written descriptions of our ancestors, it appears that MOST Dudley's have brown hair and hazel eyes! Additionally, most of us men seem to enjoy some facial hair! I have seldom found a picture of a Dudley man without some. (By the way, I also sported a moustache until 1990)

Did you know that the most common month for births in our surname is February and October. For marriages, it's October, and for deaths it's a tie between January, then September. It's true! (by the way, I determined this using the BROTHERS KEEPER program [see the LINKS page] and used the "other" tab and went to charts) This is based on information in the database!

How old can we become? Well, based again on the database, most male Dudley's live to become in the range of 70-80. (both Male and Female) Not bad!

It seems most Dudley's like a lot of lemon in their tea! Yup!, whether iced or hot, most state they do. One recipe in my family that is a favorite is "Jersey tea". You put a "spaghetti sized" pot on the stove with tea bags--bring it to a boil, then add one can of Lemonade to it! Then, add about a pitcher of water, two cups of sugar (or, to taste), then serve it up with ice! ummmmmm

As for food--most that I have asked state that Italian is their favorite (so, its off to the Olive Garden for some Pene and Marinara!)

Ok, here goes....someone HAD to ask! Beer is NOT the favorite of our Spirits------most of us Dudley's prefer Bourbon or Scotch! (hic)

Ah, some more survey answers! HERE GOES:

Favorite type of MOVIE: Horror and Science fiction!!!!!!!! (While I am a fan of both, I really couldn't believe it!)

Favorite school subject: History

Are we Dudley's religious? VERY much so! Over 80% stated they attend church services and pray. A quick look at the database will show that there have be MANY ministers and deacons (and for the Baptists and Methodists) elders among our ancestors.

Ok, it kind of figured.........but, most of us Dudley's LOVE to gab. And gossip (oops, being a Christian, maybe I should say share!!?? Anyway, most state that they love to talk.....and I can truthfully say that most of the email I get from Dudley's IS very talky. But as I like to also, I enjoy it.................


Now here is a strange one.....most Dudley men tend NOT to become over excited about sports, rather preferring a good conversation or book to Monday Night Football. Taking all the above into consideration, I really am not surprised.
